MOLLY-MAE Hague has slammed a beauty treatment that gave her “a full beard”.
The 22-year-old reality star told her fans that she underwent a cosmetic procedure to help get rid of her “peach fuzz” – but it resulted in more facial hair growth.
The YouTuber said she regretted getting the treatment done after the hair started growing back more “rapidly”.
During a makeup tutorial on YouTube, Molly-Mae revealed: “If you guys can see that I do have a little bit of a beard, we’re not talking about it.
“I need to speak to you guys about my battle with dermaplaning – and just wish I never got dermaplaning.
“I basically have a full beard now.”
The TV star explained that the facial did not stop the hair growing and instead had the opposite effect.
“But essentially if you don’t know what dermaplaning is, it’s a type of facial, or you could actually do it yourself with a type of razor but I had a dermaplaning facial, where they remove the peach fuzz from your face to make your face so baby smooth and so soft,” she continued.
“Basically with the dermaplaning, I got into the habit of having a dermaplaning facial and my peach fuzz just grows back at rapid levels now.
“It was meant to sort of prevent it from growing back and mean that it would grow back less – but with any hair removal, like when you shave your legs, it means you have to start shaving them more.
“It’s just one of those things, when you start doing it you can’t really stop.
“So yeah you could say I wish I never started the dermaplaning because I’m not the sort of person who keeps up regularly with my beauty treatments.”
It comes after she showed of her huge ‘fake’ grin as she took fans behind-the-scenes on her PrettyLittleThing show.
Molly-Mae joked her enthusiastic expression was not always “serious” as she revealed previously unseen moments from her big event.
GAME FACE
Molly showed off her goofy side in one snap on a train ahead of her first show as Creative Director of PLT.
She wrote over the photo: “This smile I do btw isn’t serious”
Another candid picture saw Molly holding a jumper that had the words “creative director” emblazoned on the back, and she pointed out again: “I promise not serious smile”
The former reality TV star, who was named Creative Director of the fast fashion site in August aged just 22, was first accused of having a fake smile on Love Island back in 2019.
When Love Island host Caroline Flack announced her rival Amber Gill had won the series, leaving Molly and Tommy Fury in second place, she was seen with a massive smile which viewers claimed was covering her secret fury.
Flocking to social media, one fan wrote: “Molly Mae should have just won purely for that fake smile.”
Another pointed out: “Molly is in shock. She has that tight smile.”
A third said: “Seeing Molly-Mae’s fake smile was priceless.”
Last week, the star launched her own PLT collection at London Fashion Week.
She is also set to launch a PTL Marketplace app, which will allow fashion addicts the chance to swap clothes with each other.
Molly had already established herself as an influencer before appearing on the 2018 series of Love Island.
Without even entering the villa, she had amassed around 10,000 subscribers on YouTube and about 100,000 Instagram followers.
She now has 1.63 million YouTube subscribers and 6 million Instagram fans.
She admitted to new! magazine that she ‘doesn’t miss her old life’, adding that she has “a million and one things to do every day”.
Molly described herself as “so blessed,” adding: “It’s the life I’ve dreamed of.”
