JAVINE Hylton rose to fame as she competed against the Girls Aloud legends in hopes of winning a spot in a coveted girl group.
She stood side by side with Cheryl, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding on Popstars: The Rivals as she launched her singing career.
Javine, 40, turned away from the limelight to focus on her family life – and now looks different from her fresh-faced days on TV.
The now mother-of-one became a household name thanks to her appearance on Popstars: The Rivals, in the early noughties.
While she failed to get a spot in girlband Girls Aloud, she still went on to have an incredible pop career – representing the UK at Eurovision.
Having grown up performing on the West End in London, Javine’s career progressed as she had high hopes of becoming a pop singer.
She auditioned for Popstars in 2002 – and made it all the way to the final six before she became the last person to leave the competition.
Despite not making it into the band, Javine launched her solo career with her own single, Real Things, the following year.
The track was a success, reaching number 4 in the UK Singles Chart, before she released a further three Top 20 hits in the following years.
She also supported rapper Nelly on his UK tour in 2003, as well as representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005.
Javine has also made a number of TV appearances, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.
Outside of her music career, Javine hit the headlines for her relationship with So Solid Crew member MC Harvey.
Despite him being married to Alesha Dixon, the pop star struck up a romance with him, and they welcomed a daughter, Angel, in 2008.
She has since moved on with someone new and welcomed two more children – a now four-year-old and a baby son.
Javine is frequently seen posing with her lookalike daughter Angel – now in her teens – as well as posting sweet family photos to fans.
While she was last seen on the red carpet for the Lion King premiere in London last year, she appears to have stepped back from showbiz for good.
