Elizabeth Vargas appeared to be putting her traumatic week behind her by stepping out for a swanky dinner with friends in Malibu after she was allegedly held at gun point by her ex-boyfriend.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 46, was spotted with a huge smile on her face as she headed into Nobu for dinner with billionaire philanthropist John Paul DeJoria, producer David Weintraub and two other friends on Wednesday night.
Just a day prior, Elizabeth’s ex allegedly barricaded himself inside of her Newport Beach home, held her at gun point and ‘roughed her up’ after a failed extortion plot.

As Elizabeth joined pals for dinner, there was no evidence that the reality star had just been put through such a harrowing situation.
She put on a very brave face and flashed an ear-to-ear grin in a long sleeve black turtleneck bodycon dress with nude pumps.
Vargas pulled her blonde tresses back in a sleek ponytail and sported dewy neutral makeup with simple gold accessories.
The star was even pictured sharing a good laugh with her dinner companions who were, no doubt, there to support her in such a trying time.

Earlier that day, Elizabeth’s manager revealed to the New York Post that she is ‘shaken up’ over Tuesday night’s scary ordeal and that it was an ‘extremely traumatizing experience’ for her.
Pictures that were released on Wednesday show that Elizabeth’s residence, which is located in the posh area called Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, has been boarded up following Tuesday’s incident.
Hours after the ordeal with her ‘aggressive’ ex-boyfriend, Elizabeth’s manager David Weintraub gave a statement to the New York Post.
‘Liz is completely traumatized, and spent the entire night with police. She is so thankful to the Newport Beach Police Department, and the officers who saved her from this terrible incident. She is looking forward to getting back to normal life,’ it read.

The star had originally contacted authorities to report him for extortion, believing that he was coming later that day to ask for more money.
After her call on Tuesday, the cops arrived to her home and watched it from a distance, but the ex was able to slip in.
