DEAR DEIDRE: MY council flat isn’t fit to live in and yet the local authority won’t do a thing about it.
I have severe back problems and have had several operations but live in constant pain.

No issue is too small, too large or too embarrassing. Read our personal replies here.
I have to fill a bucket with water in the kitchen, carry it through to the bathroom and use it to flush the broken toilet.
We also fill up the bucket with hot water to wash as the shower is broken.
The bedrooms are damp and we can’t open the windows, which is making my daughter’s asthma worse.
I am 53 and my daughter is 17. I can hardly walk let alone lug heavy buckets around, yet when I complain to the council, nothing happens.
Our situation is getting to me and I feel so low that my daughter must live like this.
