He’s always been like this but I thought he would change.
He has a brother aged 15 and a sister who’s eight. Even she seems more mature.
He’s not doing well in school either.
I hoped he’d find other kids at a similar stage when he joined a new school in September but he doesn’t seem to have any friends. It breaks my heart.
My family were together at Christmas and even my father and sister said he seemed immature.
I don’t know whether to take him to the doctor to see if something is going on underneath the surface.

He may simply be young for his age but sometimes behaviour like this can be a symptom of ADHD.
Often children with autism display similar behaviour.
Talk to your GP to get an accurate assessment for him. His school may be able to help too.
