THE MASKED Singer returned with a bang tonight as Firework and Doughnuts were kicked off the competition.
After scoring the lowest vote from the studio audience, Firework was revealed to be actress Jaime Winstone.
The judges then had to decide who to save out of Rockhopper and Doughnuts, opting to take Rockhopper through to next week’s semi-final.
Doughnuts was revealed to be football legend Michael Owen.
Host Joel Dommett then revealed that next week’s semi-final will be another double elimination, with the judges joined by Dame Joan Collins.

Viewers seemed to love the action in tonight’s episode of The Masked Singer.

Jaime Winstone’s reaction to being unmasked…
Speaking after being unmasked on tonight’s episode of The Masked Singer, Jaime said: “Rita actually guessed me once but convinced herself that I would never do this show.
“I really wanted to have some fun with what I do for a living and I’m so happy I did, it has unlocked my inner pop star. The young Jaime in me was smiling cheek to cheek.”

Dame Joan Collins will be on the panel next week
The 88-year-old star of stage and screen will be joining the panel of The Masked Singer next week for the semi-final of the series.
Joan will be assisting the judges in guessing the identities of the remaining five celebrities, and only three will make it through to the final.

That means only three celebs will be performing in the grand final.

Mo Gilligan said Michael “was an absolute joy to watch.”

Jaime starred in a period drama as TV legend Barbara Windsor.
The actress is close friends with Rita Ora.
Speaking of doing the show, Jaime said: “For me it was a non-brainer! Raymond I love you, Mummy is a Firework!”

Did you get out of your chair for Mushroom’s performance of that Demi Lovato track?
Davina said: “Every single note was sung with such confidence”. Davina reckons it is Sheridan Smith and so does Jonathan Ross.
Feels like Sheridan gets suggested every series of The Masked Singer.
Rita Ora thinks it is global star Willow Smith.
Olly Alexander thinks it is Kimberley Walsh from Girls Aloud, or her bandmate Nadine Coyle.
Mo Gilligan thinks it could be Charlotte Church, agreeing with lots of people on Twitter.

Serving up a slice of musical theatre, Traffic Cone is performing A Million Dreams from hit movie musical, The Greatest Showman.

Fans online reckon Rockhopper is Destiny’s Child icon Michelle Williams.
But others have pointed out that she has already appeared on the American version of The Masked Singer.
However, last year Spice Girls legend Mel B appeared on The Masked Singer in both Spain and here in the UK, so it’s not impossible that Michelle could be pulling a double shift.
