MODEL Danielle Lloyd has revealed the Wagatha Christie trial forced her to relive “traumatic” personal events.

Ms Lloyd, who gave evidence in the “mental” case between her pal Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy, told how “a lot of nasty things” were said about her during the explosive £3m showdown.

The legal battle concluded on Friday when Becky Vardy lost her case against Coleen Rooney. Mrs Rooney had accused her rival of leaking stories to the press.

Speaking to TalkTV following the result, former Miss England Danielle, 38, said: “Coleen has had justice and everybody else that has been involved in the trial.”

But she revealed how “a lot of nasty things were said about myself, a lot of traumatic things were brought up”.

Danielle had previously said it was “heartbreaking” to hear her name mentioned by Vardy in court.

The Wag had made reference to a “nasty b***h” in messages to her agent Caroline Watt. Miss Watt had replied: “She’s trash.”

Mrs Vardy later testified that the slur had likely been aimed at Danielle rather than Mrs Rooney.

The wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy was also asked about a August 2019 text, where she told her agent to “leak the Maldives stuff” and referred to the “pregnant girl leak”.

The comments were in relation to a magazine article where Danielle discussed her Maldives honeymoon and her traumatic miscarriage.

The model, who is married to electrician Michael O’Neill, was around eight weeks pregnant when she tragically miscarried in 2019.

At the time, she said: “It really upset me and, you know, it’s brought back very bad memories.

“And I was really, really distraught at the time, and obviously for that to be brought up again, it’s just been heart-breaking for me.”

On Friday she told TalkTV’s Kate McCann being dragged into the Wagatha trial saw her have to confront “stuff that I wouldn’t have liked to remember really or talked about again”.

The mum-of-five concluded: “I feel like justice has been done and hopefully now there can be a line and people can just get on with their lives.”

Danielle had previously branded Vardy ” a rat” in an explosive text message to Coleen revealed by The Sun.

She blasted: “She is rat, feel ashamed for her.”

Danielle sent the message after Coleen revealed she thought she had finally unmasked the mole leaking stories to the press, which triggered the saga three-years ago.

WAGS AT WAR

Vardy was savaged by a judge after Coleen, wife of ex-England and Manchester United star Wayne, won the landmark libel case – bringing an end to the three-year saga.

In her judgment, Mrs Justice Steyn said Coleen’s viral “reveal” post was “substantially true” and in the public interest.

The Instagram post followed a “sting” operation by Coleen who published fake Instagram stories to see if they ended up in the press.

She came to the conclusion Rebekah Vardy was responsible for leaking the stories as she was the only person who could view them.

Mrs Justice Steyn also said Rebekah “knew of, condoned and was actively engaged” in leaks to the media by her agent Caroline Watts.

The judge found Rebekah “deliberately withheld evidence” during the trial and that the deletion of WhatsApp messages central to the case was “deliberate rather than accidental”.

She also said Becky’s evidence was “manifestly inconsistent” with other evidence on “many occasions”.

Rebekah was “generally unwilling to make factual concessions” while on the stand, the judgment read.

Mrs Justice Steyn said: “It was evident that Mrs Vardy found the process of giving evidence stressful and, at times, distressing.

“Nevertheless, I find that it is, unfortunately, necessary to treat Mrs Vardy’s evidence with very considerable caution.

“There were many occasions when her evidence was manifestly inconsistent with the contemporaneous documentary evidence, e.g. in relation to the World Cup 2018 and the photoshopped pictures, and others where she was evasive.”

‘GOT IT WRONG’

But after the decision was revealed, Rebekah insisted the judge “got it wrong”.

She said: “I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the judge has reached.

“It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge’s finding.

“The judge accepted that publication of Coleen’s post was not in the ‘public interest’ and she also rejected her claim that I was the ‘Secret Wag’.

“But as for the rest of her judgement, she got it wrong and this is something I cannot accept.”

Although I bear Mrs Vardy no ill-will, today’s judgment makes clear that I was right in what I said in my posts of October 2019

Coleen Rooney

Coleen said she was “pleased” with the ruling – but added that she “never believed” the case should have gone to court “at such expense in times of hardship for so many people when the money could have been far better spent helping others”.

She told how she was left with “no alternative” but to go through with the case to “defend” herself and end the leaking of stories.

“Both before and after my social media posts in October 2019, I made every effort to avoid the need for such a drawn out and public court case. All my attempts to do so were knocked back by Mrs Vardy,” she said.

“These leaks from my private Instagram account began in 2017. They continued for almost two years, intruding on my privacy and that of my family.
