Called jeen-yuhs, this new Netflix documentary goes all the way back to when the superstar was just starting out in Chicago.

The documentary will play out over three acts.
Act 1 dropped today (February 16, 2022) at 8am, so you can stream it right now.
In the US, it was available to watch from 12am PT.
The episode lasts for just under 1 hour and 30 mins.
What is the documentary series about?
jeen-yuhs is a documentary series about Kanye West’s rise to fame and his life in the spotlight.
The official description for the series says it will offer “an intimate portrait of West as he builds his way from singer to businessman and becomes a global brand”.

As mentioned, the documentary is divided into three acts.
The series is built around unseen archival footage from Kanye’s major life events, which will include his career in music and fashion.
The three-part doc will also include the death of his mother Donda West in 2007, and his unsuccessful 2020 presidential campaign.
Who appears in the Kanye West: jeen-yuhs series?
The documentary features interviews with Kanye and his fellow musicians, which includes Jay Z.
The documentary was made by directing partners Coodie and Chike.
They’re best known for their previous documentary Benji, made in 2012, about the tragic death of a high school basketball player.
They’ve also directed the Kanye’s music video Through the Wire, which was the rapper’s debut track.
When are Act 2 and Act 3 of jeen-yuhs out on Netflix?
The next two acts will drop weekly on Wednesdays at 8am.
This means you can watch Act 2 on February 23, 2022.
The final Act will then be released on March 2, 2022.
