PETE Davidson’s anticipated space journey has been cut short as Blue Origin’s flight date was postponed.
The SNL comedian’s starry adventure came to end before it even began.
When is Pete Davidson going to space?
According to a tweet by Blue Origins on March 17, 2022: “Blue Origin’s 20th flight of New Shepard has shifted to Tuesday, March 29. Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission. We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days.”
Due to the reschedule, Davidson’s space journey was cut short.
On March 3, Page Six reported that Pete Davidson is close to finalizing a contract with Blue Origin.
A source close to Davidson told Page Six: “Pete is excited. They haven’t signed a contract yet, but it looks like it’s going to happen. The details are being finalized.”
On March 14, it was then revealed that the rumors were true after Blue Origin announced the passengers on the upcoming flight.
Davidson was scheduled to take off on March 23, 2022, alongside Marty Allen, March and Sharon Hagle, Jim Kitchen, and Dr. George Nield.
Previous celebrities who have taken the flight include Star Trek star William Shatner and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan.
How much does a Blue Origin ticket cost?
Blue Origin has not revealed the price of a ticket to fly on its rocket, designated New Shepard, but sales for the company were nearing $100 million last year, according to The New York Times.

While it’s unclear how much of that revenue was from ticket sales, Jeff Bezos told the Times that the company was doing “really well with private sales.”
In a public auction for a seat on the first Blue Origin flight, Justin Sun, CEO of blockchain platform Tron, ended up paying $28 million for a ticket.
While Davidson’s ticket to the heavens was not likely to come cheap, it was certainly going to be cheaper than that, according to Engadget.
