Devout Christian Kimberly Elise is facing backlash from anti-abortionists for her comments made in support of the overturn. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade on Thursday, 23 June 2022, almost 50 years after it was put in effect allowing women in the US the right to an abortion.
Now, some are curious to know more about Elise’s personal life, including whether she has children herself.

Does Kimberly Elise have children?
American actress Kimberly Elise has two children with former husband Maurice Oldham. Elise was married to the photographer from 1989 to 2005, just two years before Oldham sadly passed away from a blood clot.
Their eldest daughter, AjaBleu Oldham, was born on 16 March 1990. She is currently 32 years old and was born in Minnesota before the family relocated to Los Angeles for Kimberly Elise’s acting career.
The actress’s second daughter, Butterfly Rose Oldham, was born more than eight years later, on 19 October 1998. Butterfly is currently 23 years old.

Kimberly Elise’s daughters tread a different path
Many children of celebrities follow in their parents’ footsteps but Kimberly Elise’s daughters have gone down a different route.
Eldest daughter AjaBleu has gone on to work as a beauty and travel blogger, as well as working as a model on occasion. On AjaBleu’s blog, she describes how her love of travel developed through accompanying her mother on work trips across North America.
“During the summers, when my mother had a job, I had the opportunity to discover new places like Philadelphia, Atlanta and Toronto,” AjaBleu writes.
AjaBleu Oldham attended college at the American University of Paris in France, before moving to New York. She is now based in Hollywood, California.
Kimberly Elise’s second daughter, Butterfly, is reportedly a student at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.
Kimberly Elise weighs in on Roe v Wade overturn
On Tuesday, 28 June 2022, Kimberly Elise weighed in on the recent overturn of Roe v Wade by the United States Supreme Court.
That day, Elise shared an Instagram post with the caption: “Millions of babies will be saved from death by abortion due to the overturning of Roe V Wade. Hallelujah!”
Elise, who has more than 560,000 followers on the social media platform, has since turned off comments on her Instagram post. But that hasn’t stopped an inevitable wave of backlash from anti-abortionists heading Kimberly Elise’s way.

Elise’s comments lead to online debate
Following Kimberly Elise’s comments on the overturn of Roe v Wade, a number of internet users offered their thoughts on Elise’s viewpoint.
“Unfollowed Kimberly Elise so fast when I saw that IG post. Millions of mothers and babies will be saved? How about no. Also, not every person is a Christian,” one Twitter user commented.
Another offered an opposing view: “Y’all be quick to cancel celebrities that don’t share the same OPINIONS as the masses. Kimberly Elise is entitled to feel how she feels about abortions.”
Kimberly Elise has yet to comment on the backlash or offer further statements on Roe v Wade.
