GAL GADOT’S INFAMOUS ‘IMAGINE’ VIDEO, ‘THE BOYS’: Give It A Watch

The most recent episode of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video features a parody of the video that actress Gal Gadot created for the 2020 Imagine campaign, and Twitter cannot even.

It’s possible that you remember that at the beginning of the pandemic, the actress collaborated with a few A-listers to perform a sorrowful ballad from 1971.

The notorious film was used as the basis for a spoof in the new series, and the resulting footage has since become extremely popular on social media.

A REFLECTION ON GAL GADOT’S IMAGINE VIDEO FOR THE YEAR 2020

In March of 2020, actress Gal Gadot posted a video of her and her A-list friends singing along to the iconic ballad Imagine by John Lennon, which was released in 1971.

The post was sent to her more than 80 million followers on Instagram just a few moments before the coronavirus epidemic became widespread.

The famous person said in the post’s title that “We are in this together, and we will get through it together.” She did this with the intention of spreading positivity. Imagine with me for a moment. Join in our singing. Sending you lots of love from me and all of my closest pals.

The music video included a number of well-known actors and musicians, including Maya Rudolph, Jimmy Fallon, Labrinth, Will Ferrell, and Kristen Wiig, among others.

Since then, GAL GADOT has responded to the video.

Soon after that, the actress who plays Wonder Woman posted the video to her Instagram account, where it quickly attracted millions of views but also received criticism.

During an interview with Vanity Fair in the latter part of that same year, in October 2020, the actress discussed the video for the first time.

During the conversation, she discussed how she had “wonderful intentions,” but that those goals “didn’t transcend.” She went on to add, “You know, sometimes you try and do a good deed, and it’s just not the proper good deed.”

Gadot gave her opinion on the matter once more when having a conversation with InStyle earlier this year. Almost two years later, she discussed the video in the interview and said that it was “premature” and “in terrible taste.” This admission came after she had already thought on the video.

THE BOYS PARODY THE VIDEO IN LATEST EPISODE

The sixth episode of season three of The Boys had an opening sequence that was very similar in style to the video that Gal Gadot posted on her 2020 Imagine account.

The Deep, who is played in this video by actor Chace Crawford, begins by discussing some recent “super-villain attacks” before breaking out into song.

After him in the song are some famous cameos, including Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Elizabeth Banks, and Kumail Nanjiani, among others.

Twitter has been taken over by reactions from fans of the program The Boys to the series’ reproduction of the music video for Gal Gadot’s song “Boys.”
