Jonathan David Bennett is an actor and TV show host from the United States. He is best known for his roles as Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls (2004), Bud McNulty in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005), the title character in Van Wilder: Freshman Year 2009, and Casey Gant in Veronica Mars on UPN. He was the host of the Food Network show Halloween Wars and had been the host of Cake Wars before that.
Jonathan Bennett has dubbed himself the “gay king of Christmas.” The 41-year-old actor gave himself the name as a joke because he produced and stars in “The Holiday Sitter,” the Hallmark Channel’s first Christmas romantic comedy about a gay couple.
Bennett’s representatives announced on November 30, 2020, that he was engaged to Jaymes Vaughan, a former Amazing Race contestant who is now the host of Celebrity Page. Vaughan proposed to Bennett with an original song on the set of The Christmas House. Bennett and Vaughan were the first gay couple to appear on the cover of The Knot magazine in 2021.

After saying their own vows, the couple sealed the proposal with a kiss and wedding rings from Kay Jewelers.
Jonathan told People, “It was really a dream wedding.” The Hallmark actor said, “We kept having to stop and remind ourselves that we weren’t on a movie set, but that this was actually our real life.”
On March 19, Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan got married in a hotel in Mexico. The news outlet said that the couple’s closest friends and family members were at the wedding. People say that the ceremony took place at the Unico Riviera Maya Hotel in Mexico, close to the Playa Kantenah beach.

Bennett was there to advertise his show, Halloween Wars. After his first appearance, the 40-year-old man from Ohio went on the show multiple times.
Before he became an actor, Jaymes Vaughan worked with The Chippendales in Las Vegas. Vaughan was not only the group’s ceremony planner but also the lead singer for the project. He has also been a contestant on shows like “The Amazing Race,” where he tried to win enough money to pay for his sick father’s treatment. His father had cancer at the time. In the 21st season of the competition, Vaughan and his partner got second place.
