Evil killer cop Wayne Couzens breaks down and apologises to wife as she visits him in jail for first time

KILLER cop Wayne Couzens broke down in tears and apologised to his wife as she visited him for the first time in jail.

Couzens, 49, caged for the abduction, rape and murder of Sarah Everard, 33, had failed to have his whole-life term reduced.

And sources said the ex-Met cop fears never seeing wife Olena again.

Ukrainian Olena, 41, visited him at Frankland jail, Co Durham, the day after he learned he will die behind bars.

One source said: “Couzens had his head in his hands and was saying the Court of Appeal verdict was unfair on him.

“Then, as she was hugging him, it looked like he was saying sorry.

“It was a supportive hug but not a loving one.”
