Gifford wrote, “My darling Hoda, I am truly so proud of the way you have handled such a difficult and painful decision. As usual you did it with grace and kindness. May God bless you and your precious girls and Joel as well as you continue down this thing called life. I love you.” Her thoughtful sentiment was met with applause from “Today” viewers, who found it “so beautiful” and called her “a wonderful friend.” As one fan said, “Two lovely, classy ladies.
