In addition to his work on the Jon Hamm vehicle, “Mad Men,” Robert Morse also appeared in countless well-known TV shows over the course of his illustrious career, from “Murder, She Wrote,” to “Suddenly Susan” to “American Crime Story.” His most recent project was voicing Santa Claus in “Teen Titans Go!” as recently as 2021.

Notably, the Massachusetts native also won two Tonys for his work in the Broadway hit shows “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and “Tru.”

On Twitter, fans and colleagues were paying tribute to Morse, with the official account for “Mad Men” tweeting, “Robert Morse was one of the greats. Rest In Peace.” Meanwhile, many other people reacted to the news of the iconic actor’s death, with some sharing scenes from their favorite episodes of Morse playing the senior partner at the advertising firm on “Mad Men.”

Perhaps one Twitter account said it best about Morse’s legacy: “Robert Morse succeeded by making it look like he wasn’t really trying.”
