Michael Wojdag, the Director of Finance Operations for RMR Group, was killed in a collision caused by two cars racing.
Following the death of a 46-year-old man in a car accident, Massachusetts State Police are looking for two cars that may have been racing in Braintree.
According to Massachusetts State Police, two vehicles were allegedly speeding and possibly racing near Exit 6 of Interstate 93 in Braintree on Sunday night. One of the vehicles “forced [a Civic] into a Tahoe,” according to police.
Michael Wojdag, a Hanson resident, was killed as the Tahoe’s driver. A 45-year-old woman and a teenager were two more Tahoe passengers transported to South Shore Hospital with minor injuries. Five people inside the Civic were not hurt, according to authorities.
The two cars, which may have been in a race, left the area, according to Police. One of the vehicles was a sedan, according to the only description the cops gave. Any evidence about the vehicles or the collision is being sought from the public.
The State Police-Milton Barracks at (617) 698-5840 or the State Police Troop H Detective Unit at (617) 740-7544 is asking for anyone with information about any other vehicles that may have been involved in this collision or any cars that were traveling at high speeds on Route 93 in the Braintree area at or just before 9 pm Sunday, February 19, to get in touch with them.

A car mishap on February 19, 2023, claimed the life of 46-year-old Michael E. Wojdag. His sudden demise has left his loved ones shocked and inconsolable.
There are no adequate words to express such a devastating loss adequately. Michael was born on 75 and grew up in Upton, Massachusetts, and Walpole, Massachusetts.
Michael oversaw the financial operations at RMR Group. He was pleased with his job and delighted to be a member of the RMR family.
Mike was a hard worker and a loving Father, spouse, son, uncle, and brother. Nothing made Michael happier than being with his family.
Ryan (age 16) and Emma (age 16) are Mike’s two lovely children from his marriage to Amy (Monahan) in 2004.
They were all essential to him. Mike always showed up and was the room’s most proud husband and Father during every trip, game, and function.
In addition to his wife, Amy, and children Emma and Ryan, Michael is also left by Amy’s parents, Kathleen and Hugh Monahan, as well as his brother-in-law Matt Monahan and his wife, Jen. His parents are Diane and Edwin Wojdag of Upton, Massachusetts.
