A REDDIT user shared their shock after discovering that their late neighbour’s home was filled with a sea of waste.
They explained that they found the state of the filthy property shortly after the tenant passed away.

Taking to the WTF subreddit, the concerned user shared a grim photos of the home that was brimming with trash.
The caption read: “My neighbour who never left his house or threw out his trash recently passed. This is how he lived.”
The gruesome images showed the living room floor barely visible under a pile of empty boxes and food containers.
The kitchen counters and oven top were also filled with used pans and rotting food making it unlikely the tenant could even cook.
Although there was some space in the corridor, one room appeared to be bursting with a mountain of bottles.
Externally the garden was also described as a “jungle” with neighbours unaware of the horror inside.
The Reddit user sadly concluded that the reclusive tenant must have been forced to sleep on the floor due to his horrific living conditions.
“I guess he had no contact with his family,” they added.

Users in the comments were equally as flummoxed by the state of the home, as many paid tribute to the deceased man.
“So much sadness in these pics. Poor guy. At least his sadness is gone now,” one wrote.
While a second added: “I hope he was loved and that his passing was peaceful, RIP.”

But thanks to help of three neighbours and two charity volunteers, 27 tons of waste was taken out of Sylvie’s house over the course of a week.
And after going one step further they eventually renovated the home, laying new floorboards and installing a new oven, kitchen sink and units.
Sylvie said at the time: “I cannot thank them enough, and they still come and see me and help me every week.
“There’s not enough words in this world to say how much they’ve helped me.”
