More than 33,000 sun burn cases require HOSPITAL trips a year

Brits are URGED to be careful in the sun as temperatures soar.

No matter what your skin tone or ethnicity, you are still at risk of sun damage.

Brits are urged to take extra care today, as UV levels remain very high according to the Met Office.

The Cancer Trends Progress Report showed a very worrying statistic: more than 33,000 sun burn cases required a trip to A&E a year.

Any type of sun burn can cause irreversible skin damage. It doesn’t matter how severe the sun burn.

Brits must slater on the SPF 30 or 50 today, and keep topping up to avoid burning.
