In addition, he is the brother of Prakash Anand Schaffter – a former first-class cricketer and businessperson.
The late director of Jana Shakti PLC’s Father spoke his heart out about his death. On the day of Dinesh’s death, the doting Father met him as he was packing and getting ready to go to the UK with his family.
The senior business Leader said his son was in good spirits that day. He sat with him and his wife, Tarni, on their verandah for an hour, laughing and joking.
When Chandra Schaffter left his son’s House, Dinesh mentioned that he had a quick meeting with someone. The senior businessman didn’t feel any sign of apprehension.
But after Dinesh went out that day, he never came back.

According to the recent development of the case, Dinesh Schaffter died from ingestion of Cyanide. The post-mortem report concluded that the injuries caused by strangulation were not fatal.
Before Additional Magistrate Mrs. Rajindra Jayasuriya today, the Criminal Investigation Department’s (CID) Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division laid out the details surrounding the killing of Dinesh Schaffter.
However, Mr. Shaffter’s iPhone and iPad data has been confusing. His iPad had a folder named “List,” which contained words such as KCM (another name for Cyanide) and ZIP TIE.
