A LAD shows off the 27in locks he has had trimmed for the first time to raise cash for the hospital that saved his mum.
Eli McGee, 11, raised £1,500 after mum Becky Barrett, 55, was treated for lung cancer at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge.
Becky, of St Ives, Cambs, said: “He was getting a bit annoyed with his hair anyway, it was getting in the way.
“I think Eli saw the hospital’s amazing care and that’s why he was inspired to raise the money.”
The lad is donating 16 inches of curls to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs to youngsters with cancer.
Eli started with just a £100 target on fundraising website, justgiving.com.
The hair was cut on Wednesday by his auntie Collette McGee, who is a professional stylist based in London.
