Everton will announce Frank Lampard as their new head coach in the next 24 hours.

The former Chelsea boss has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Goodison Park and completed all the formalities attached to his move.

All that is left now is to publicly confirm his arrival as Rafa Benitez’s successor.

Either way, Lampard will now begin life as the club’s new boss.

And he will welcome the arrival of Manchester United forward Donny van de Beek on loan until the end of the season.

Van de Beek has agreed to join Everton on loan after the Toffees successfully hijacked Crystal Palace’s move to sign the Manchester United outcast. 

The Toffees, who are set to confirm Frank Lampard as their new manager, have agreed a loan fee – in-excess of £500,000 – to gazump the Eagles.

They are also covering all of of his £100,000-per-week wages.
