Mike Tyson and Tom Cruise are two of the most prominent personalities in their respective fields. Tyson is considered to be a legend in boxing, still holding the record of the youngest heavyweight champion, while Cruise has been a star in Hollywood for almost four decades.

During, his prime Tyson was a beast in the ring annihilating his opponents within a few rounds which earned him the nickname ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet.’And now it seems like the former champion has some high praise for Cruise as he pointed out the similarities between them.

Tyson praises Tom Crusie

In an episode of his podcast Hotboxin’ with actor and comedian David Spade Tyson shared his thoughts on the Top Gun actor while discussing actors who have had long and successful careers.

” I’m thinking about Tom Cruise, he’s a monster, he’s a f****g bad motherf****r,” said Tyson, praising Cruise. Spade then responded by asking Tyson if he saw the latest movie featuring the actor that made him praise the actor.“You’ve seen that movie right? ” He asked

Tyson stated that he did not see the movie and claimed that Cruise’s acting level and longevity were the reason for this praise, “I ain’t seen it yet, just the fact that he’s number one and he’s f****g doing it for 40 years.” He added.

It seems Tyson can relate to the hard work and struggles that Cruise has faced while still performing at the highest level, just like the former champion.

During the late 80s, Tyson gained a reputation for being one of the most vicious boxers in the world. He was known for having an overwhelming presence that struck fear in his opponents before the fight even started. Tyson was a master of psychological warfare, which gave him a huge mental advantage over his peers.

However, this was not all, as he was also a highly skilled boxer. Despite being shorter than most of the boxers in his division, Iron Mike used the iconic peek-a-boo style developed by his mentor Cus D’ Amato to get within range of his opponents, dazzling them with his quick head movement.
