Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors star, almost always responded well when people said negative things about him. Apparently, Kevin Durant’s former teammate Mike James said something about the Warriors’ point guard that has been making the rounds on the internet.

Curry was called a one-dimensional player by Mike James, and shortly thereafter, we saw many reactions to this claim. Curry himself responded to James’ comment by sharing his thoughts. During his basketball career, Curry has been a great player, and his shooting techniques have set a standard in the NBA and brought up the league as a competition.

Apparently, some players are having trouble with this. Curry was asked about his thoughts on playing one-on-one against other players in the camp when he was speaking with the media at his basketball camp. In response, he replied in a very humorous manner, with a bit of a petty reaction. Curry said: “It’s all bad for them. Even as one-dimensional as I am.”

By his reaction, it is apparent that he was aware of James’ comments and that came across in the interview.

Curry did not end there, he continued with: “I’m sorry,” Curry laughed. “I’m petty! I’m so petty! So petty, keep it going!”

Stephen Curry does not fit into Mike James’ top five list

There have been many things Stephen Curry has been called over the years during his time in the NBA, but James’ comments seemed to even confuse the analysts, especially considereing the two-time MVP winner just won his fourth ring with the Golden State Warriors last season. As we can see on social media, there has been quite a reaction.

In spite of all these years in the NBA, Curry undoubtedly remains one of the best offensive players in the league. James made the statement when he was asked about his top five players on the ‘Players Choice’ podcast.

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry

Mike Smith said on the podcast: “Steph, how he plays and how he gets stuff off, it’s just kinda one-dimensional at times. He’s not the primary ball handler a lot, and for a point guard, that kinda bothers me.”
