Nestor Cortes Jr. is having his career-best season in Major League Baseball. The New York Yankees pitcher has been sensational from the mound. He is so good that ace Twins broadcaster Jim Kaat made a minor mistake while appreciating Nestor’s domination from the mound.

However, being the nicest human, the Yankees pitcher did not take any offense. Instead, Nestor uplifted the veteran broadcaster, as he does not believe that Jim commented with ill intentions.

Talking about the Yankees, the Aaron Judge-led team is running riots in the American League. They have the best win records in the entire MLB. And there is a reason the Yankees have been donning the American League this season. The Pinstripes are not dependent on certain players to win the game. Different players have risen on different occasions for the Yankees.

Nestor Cortes Jr. apologized to Jim Kaat for his offensive remark

As earlier said, Nestor Cortes Jr. is a great professional in the game. Not only did he forgive Jim Kaat for his derogative comment, but he also urged people to cheer the Twins Broadcaster. Because Nestor believes, Jim did not comment intentionally.

Earlier this week, when the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers played a five-game series, Kaat referred to the Yankees pitcher as “Nestor the Molester” in a live broadcast. But setting an example for the others to follow, Nestor did not take any offense to Kaat’s comment.

Taking to Twitter, the Yankees ace said that Jim apologized for the same. Nestor urged his fans to forgive Jim and move on from the incident.

“Hey everybody, Jim Kaat has spent an entire lifetime in this game we love. He reached out to me and apologized for his remark last night, but he didn’t need to,” Nestor said.

“We all make mistakes and feel 100% there was no malice intended. I plan on lifting him up with this tweet and I hope others do too. No sweat here Jim!”
