First look snaps show the Albert Square veteran decorating the pub in preparation for the fun-filled event, even though her husband-to-be is nowhere to be found.
Of course viewers are aware that while Kat begins to celebrate her new life with Phil, the Albert Square hardman is on the warpath, determined to get revenge on the bullies who have been tormenting Kat’s son Tommy.

In upcoming scenes set to air on Friday, Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) can be seen assisting Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) with hanging up banners in the Vic for the engagement party.
Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is equally excited by the celebration, donning a fun flowery headpiece while brandishing balloons for the occasion.
But, as the guests gather and the drinks begin to flow, it becomes obvious that one of the guests of honour is noticeably absent, the groom himself.

Having discovered that Kat’s son Tommy is being bullied Phil (Steve McFadden) races into the Argee Bhajee restaurant angrily wielding an iron bar in a bid to scare the tormentors off.

As a terrified Tommy emerges from in the shadows, has Phil done enough to ensure he’s left alone?
Where is he? Meanwhile, unaware of the engagement party taking place, a furious Phil has chased after bullies who have been tormenting Kat’s son Tommy

In recent episodes, the mechanic has been trying to help Tommy stand up to bullies, even trying to toughen the lad up in the gym.
But it will remain to be seen whether Phil’s actions have helped Tommy for the better or have just made the situation worse.
It comes amid the news that EastEnders is dropping its Friday episode and will now air across four consecutive weeknights in a major schedule shake-up.

The change will see the BBC soap air Monday-Thursday at 7.30pm with episodes now in direct competition with ITV‘s Emmerdale.
For the first time, fans can tune into the antics of Albert Square on a Wednesday, with the permanent schedule change coming into play from March 7.
And avid soap fans will be in for a treat as the first week will see the downfall of serial killer Gray Atkins.
