GOOD Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh revealed a huge shake-up today after the director made a major change to the show.
The presenter was joined by part-time host Ed Balls after regular host Susanna Reid told fans she was having a “long break” for the summer.
The pair stood in front of a blazing red snap of the UK countryside as they addressed the UK’s record breaking heatwave.
“It’s hot today,” Ed, 55, said as he opened the show.
Ranvir replied: “Yes it must be serious if the director’s made us stand up at the top of the show.
“That means there’s something big going on.”

They turned to weather presenter Laura Tobin who reported on the potential 40 degree temperatures hitting the UK today and tomorrow.
Ranvir, 44, said: “This is the day that you were saying, ‘we’ll get there some day, there will be red on the UK map when you only expected in Africa and Southern Spain’.”
Laura, who stood next to a red map of Britain, replied: “I genuinely didn’t think in my forecasting career of 20 years this would happen.
“So when people are saying, ‘this is summer just get out and enjoy it’ this isn’t summer, summer is 23 maybe 24 and we haven’t got the infrastructure. We’re just not build for it.”

One said: “Why are #GMB covering normal Summer weather as if Putin is about to invade the UK ?”
A second moaned: “GMB going for full on Armageddon regarding regarding the weather this morning.”
