JUDI Love has revealed she once broke down in tears over the cost of school uniform.
The Loose Women panellist, 42, is a single mum to her daughter, 17, and son, 12, and has urged parents to ask for help if needed during the cost of living crisis.
Comedian Judi said: “I remember crying of worry when my daughter started secondary school because I was unsure we’d be able to afford her school uniform.
“I know how parents are feeling about the current cost of living increase not allowing them to clothe or feed their children properly.
“It’s tragic, but it’s also nothing to be ashamed of.”
Writing in her column for OK! Magazine, Judi added: “I remember passing down my daughter’s old shirts to my son when he started school. Needs must.”

Judi’s confession comes after annual energy bills for the average household could soar to as much as £6,000 next year, experts have warned.
The cap is already expected to reach £3,576 in October and £4,799 in January.
It currently stands at £1,971. A new price cap – which will take effect on October 1 – is expected to be announced on Friday 26 August.
The forecast will come as a major blow to families already struggling during the cost of living crisis.
