Unlucky-in-love Tasha Ghouri is desperate to find her match on Love Island after spending the last eight months pouring her heart out about her single status.

The new Love Islander, who will be the ITV2‘s series’ first ever deaf contestant, has posted regularly about her heartbreak since October last year.

The dancer and model posted 33 times on the topic in less than nine months – nearly half of her total output ever on Twitter.

The blonde bombshell, 23, of Thirsk, North Yorks said in one tweet: ‘How hard can it be to find someone who actually wants and appreciates me.’

Two days later, on the release date of Adele’s hit single Easy On Me she posted again.

She said: ‘Can relate to Adele’s song in many ways.’

One lyric of the ballad, which now has nearly a billion streams on Spotify, goes: ‘You can’t deny how hard I have tried / I changed who I was to put you both first / But now I give up.’

Opening up about her heartbreak, details of which now appear to have been deleted from her Twitter account, Tasha said: ‘Not nice when someone goes about their life, drops you and lets the other suffer. Definitely is a pride thing.’

The day before, she also retweeted the definition of ‘Scapegoat’: ‘A person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency. Feels apt.’

But at the end of the year, she hit a more positive note, saying: ‘2021 has been amazing and certain situations that have made me grow into a stronger person … bring on 2022.’

Her aunt, Fiona WIllis, salon owner and chair of trustees for homelessness charity Street Paws, had words of sage advice for her.

She said: ‘You’re too amazing for most men. Wait until the right one comes along.’ She later continued: ‘Don’t settle, remember you’re an absolute queen.’

Tasha has also shared broody messages to her followers. On October 30 she posted: ‘Can’t wait for the day when I’ll have a mini me.’

And a day later she retweeted: ‘Anybody else got baby names written down in their notes?’

She told ITV in an interview before going into the villa: ‘My dating history is actually a shambles, I’m not even going to lie. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong, like is it me? Is it them? I’ve been waiting for this all my life. Bring it on!’

Model Tasha is the show’s first ever deaf contestant and experienced her first brush with fame when she modelled for a brand while wearign her cochlear implant last year.

She explained: ‘I was in articles worldwide last year because I was modelling for a brand and my [cochlear] implant went viral on Twitter. It was in Bangladesh, America, India, so many places!’

When asked in the pre-show interview why she is single, Tasha admitted: ‘I think guys get quite intimidated by me. I’ve been on so many dates before but it just hasn’t worked out for me. I haven’t found that click with somebody yet. I think I’m waiting for that click moment and that spark, it’s all about the spark on the first date.’

Tasha has been unlucky in love so far but is hoping the villa will change things, saying: ‘My dating life has been a shambles. This is an opportunity for me to find ‘the one’ and have a great summer at the same time. 

‘I’m definitely ready for a relationship. I’m 23 now so I’m ready to get to know someone, go on holidays and travel with them.’

Describing her dating history as ‘trash’, Tasha admitted she may have to ‘step on a few toes’ to find the one for her.

She said: ‘It’s a tough one because I’m a girls’ girl but it is a dating show and I’m here to find my man. I may have to step on toes but I’ll do it in the nicest way possible.’
