PEAKY Blinders fans were left very satisfied after Sunday’s episode as another favourite is set to make their return.
As fans recovered from Tom Hardy’s epic return as East London gangster, Alfie Solomon, the show teased the comeback of another favourite as the episode ended on a cliffhanger.

In the first two episodes of Peaky Blinders sixth and final season, fans watched how crime boss Tommy Shelby’s oldest daughter suffers from a mysterious illness.
Tommy and his wife Lizzie take her to the hospital where she gets the all clear, but her symptoms return and are much worse as she says she can hear voices, has a fever and coughs up blood.
She also warned “a man with green eyes” was coming for her and her dad.
Tommy rushes back to Birmingham from Westminster where he is an MP, only to realise Ruby needs the help of someone beyond the doctors.
He picks up the phone and begins to speak in Romani with only word clear to viewers, “Esme”.
Tommy was calling for the help of his no-nonsense sister in law Esme (Aimee-Ffion Edwards).
In the lawless streets of 1920s Birmingham, Esme Shelby was last seen in series four of Peaky Blinders where her husband, John, was murdered by the Italian mafia who were out for revenge against the Peaky Blinders.
Previously starring in Luther, Aimee-Ffion’s character Esme was last seen at the morgue visiting John’s body.
She also cursed her brothers, took off her rings and took the children on the road “to live with decent people”.
It’s likely he’s calling Esme to undo that curse or one that might have been done by somebody else – which has also seen him suffer from stress seizures.

In the series premiere viewers saw Ruby wake up from a fever dream with an ominous premonition, repeating the Romani words: “Tickna mora o’beng”.
Lizzie explains to Tommy that Ruby “kept saying these gypsy words, ‘tickna mora… tickna mora o’beng, o’beng’ over and over”.
At this point, Tommy panics and starts shouting at Lizzie to explain more, she adds that Ruby could also see “a man with green eyes”.
So what do these ominous fever dreams mean?
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, creator Steven Knight: “It’s difficult to translate from the Romani, but it means ‘devil’.
“It means a bit more than that, but yeah. So it’s not good. It’s not a good thing.”
Fans were excited at the prospect of Esme returning and for her showdown with Tommy.
“I can’t wait to see #Esme back next week,” said one fan.
Another wrote: “bl**dy hell am i excited for esme to come back i have missed her SO MUCH.”
A third added: “Another brilliant episode of #PeakyBlinders and so excited about that call at the end. Yes, Esme! Loved her character, she needs to be back.”
