The pros dance through the streets of picturesque towns and villages as well as in front of the iconic Blackpool Tower, where the show relocates to for a special show each year.

They then join together inside the ballroom for a glamorous routine with the girls in pink dresses and the boys in smart black suits.

There are twirls and kicks galore, and it culminates in a big lift with the pros clearly delighted to be back.

Fans loved it, with one saying: “Goosebumps watching the strictlytrailer!! omg omg omg.”

A third wrote: “This is my all time favourite strictly trailer it’s absolutely beautiful so excited x.”

This year there are 20 professional dancers on the show’s books after the signings of Michelle Tsiakkas,  Lauren Oakley,  Vito Coppola and Carlos Gu.

While Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington and Nancy Xu all return.

Not every pro is partnered with a celebrity, with a third of the cast part of the sensational group routines that make Strictly one of Britain’s most-watched TV shows.

Last year’s judging panel of Anton du Beke, Craig Revel-Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse will all return too.

In his first interview ahead of the Strictly launch, Anton told how the news that he was to reprise his judging role was “a lovely result”.

The pair have not been in touch with each other, but Anton laughed off speculation of a feud, insisting he would have stood aside if Bruno, 66, had returned.

He said: “I always knew it could be taken away, however good I was on the judging panel. But I took the same attitude as I did when I was competing, which is that I can only control what I do.

“Ballroom dancing is not first past the post — it is subjective, and you’re being adjudicated.

“So it doesn’t matter how well you thought you did. If your number doesn’t get called, there is nothing you can do.

“All you can do is be ready and do your best. I was pleased with my performance on the show.

“But I was only stepping in. If Bruno had wanted to come back, the bosses couldn’t say to him, ‘We don’t want you’.

“If it had been the other way around and that had happened to me, I would have been really disappointed.

“So it would have been fair enough. It was his job in the first place, and I’d have gone back to dancing.”
