Sheridan, 40, is a British actress who was born on June 25, 1981 in Epworth, Lincolnshire.
She shot to fame in 1999 starring as Ralf Little’s girlfriend in The Royle Family, and was later paired with him for the long-running sitcom Two Pints of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps.
For two series she played Rudi, the sister of James Corden‘s character Smithy in the BBC sitcom Gavin And Stacey.
In 2012 she won a Bafta Award for the part of gangster Ronnie Biggs’ wife in the series Mrs Biggs.

Who does Sheridan Smith play in The Teacher?
Sheridan Smith will take on the lead role of Jenna Garvey in The Teacher.
Jenna is in her mid-30s and an English teacher at a selective grammar school.
The 40-year-old actress revealed that taking on the role of Jenna was “exciting” as she loves to play “flawed and complex” characters.
“I do want the audience to doubt Jenna and to feel unsure about where they stand,”
“I think she is a bit naïve, she’s on a mission to save working class kids because that’s where her mum comes from, and she really hates the fact that privileged kids can get further in life.
“She tries to be a mate to her students, which is her undoing in the end. There are teacher-student boundaries and she has maybe let that slip.”
Other cast included in the line up are Ackley Bridge star Samuel Bottomley who plays opposite Sheridan as the 15-year-old pupil, Kyle Hope.
