Univision host announces she is pregnant
On Wednesday (September 23), Tanya Charry shared her People En Español digital cover on Instagram as she announced she and her husband Sebastián Jiménez are expecting a baby together while showing her growing bump.
In the caption of the post, Charry gushed about how this had been a moment she had “dreamed” of as she revealed her family with husband Sebastián, who is already a father to his daughter Zoe, “is growing.”
She also discussed her pregnancy exclusively with People as she explained she conceived via vitro fertilization, having previously gone through the process of freezing her eggs.
The TV host’s baby news comes over a year after Charry and Sebastián tied the knot. In honor of their one-year anniversary, she shared a video of sweet moments from their big day on Instagram as she reflected on how it was the “happiest days of her life.”
How old is Tanya Charry?
The TV host is currently 47 years old and is set to celebrate her 48th birthday at the end of this year in December.
Commemorating her birthday last year on Instagram, Charry shared a post of her celebrations in Barranquilla, Colombia, as she enjoyed some time at the beach.
The 47-year-old mentioned her age in her recent interview with People En Español as she opened up on her pregnancy.
Having revealed she made the decision to freeze her eggs at 30 years old, she said: “I am 47 years old, and I am pregnant now. If you have your frozen eggs, you forget about it and there is no stress.”

Charry has become a familiar face on-screen over the years as she has presented the latest celeb and entertainment news.
TV audiences may remember her stint as host of the news magazine series La Tijera that featured on the UniMás network, which was formally known as Telefutura in the late 2000s.
In 2011 WAPA reported that the then Telefutura had canceled along with another of the network’s shows, Escandalo TV, as it was announced elements of the two shows were set to be combined into one show known as Tómbola.
At the time, Charry transitioned into a new role as co-host on Tómbola as she helped helm the series, the new entertainment show. The show had a brief run until January 2012, when it was announced it had been canceled.
In recent years she has since become known as part of the Univision network as a reporter and host on El Gordo Y La Flaca. As per her IMDb, her time on the show, she has received two nominations for outstanding daytime talent in a Spanish language program.
