After receiving a tip on a probable child fatality on July 26 at night, which led them to the Oklahoma couple’s Seminole home, the police detained Chad Jennings and Ashley Penner.
At 5:13 on July 27, Chad and Ashley were apprehended on suspicion of killing the toddler and setting his body afire in a remote area of 148 Old Highway 99 South in Seminole.
The Medical Examiner’s Office and Oklahoma State Bureau of Inquiry are assisting with the continuing investigation.
