Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of the reality tv series “Chrisley Knows Best,” have been found guilty of federal bank fraud and tax evasion charges.
The trial for the couple, known for their lavish lifestyle, began three weeks ago and went to the jury Friday. A guilty verdict was returned in an Atlanta courtroom Tuesday afternoon.
The Chrisleys were initially indicted in 2019 on allegations of fraudulent bank loans in excess of $30 million. They also reportedly concealed millions of dollars generated from their E! hit reality series.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, the Chrisleys were accused of using fake documents to apply for loans and using a film production company to hide income from the IRS. Other charges stem from a false credit report and bank statements allegedly used by Julie Chrisley to rent a home in California.
Peter Tarantino, the Chrisleys’ accountant, stood trial along with the couple and was also found guilty for his part in the fraud.
A sentencing date has not yet been set, but the pair will remain under home confinement until that time. They faces up to 30 years in prison.
According to AJC, the couple’s attorney, Bruce Morris, stated that he is disappointed with the verdict and confirms “an appeal is planned.”
