The Iron Gwazi which stands at 206ft, has a 91-degree drop and reaches speeds of 76mph will be the park’s tenth rollercoaster.

It is set to feature moments where riders drift out of their seat mid-air as well as three inversions.

Exciting footage shows the reactions of screaming riders as they plunge down the whole 4,000 feet of steel track.

The much-anticipated coaster, manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction is an improved version of the old wooden Gwazi coaster, which closed in 2015 according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Busch Gardens said in a statement: “While elements of Gwazi, the classic wooden coaster, are integrated into the new ride, all-new thrill components and a reimagined track layout take Iron Gwazi to another level.”

Busch Gardens president Neal Thurman added: “Iron Gwazi diversifies our thrill ride portfolio and is an impressive addition to the Tampa skyline.

“Combining classic elements of a wooden coaster with a smooth, steel track will provide thrill-seekers with an unforgettable experience.”

The tallest, fastest and longest rollercoaster in the world is set to open at Six Flags in Saudi Arabia in 2023.

Called the Falcon’s Flight, it will hit dizzying speeds of up to 155mph.

The ride also features three inversions
