YOU may have heard that some big changes are coming to Netflix very soon.

The streaming giant has been forced to the drawing board after losing almost a million subscribers recently.

Fans have been left with no choice but to cancel the service as the cost of living crisis hits.

One idea bosses are betting on is a new ad-supported subscription tier.

But some features we love may be missing.

Here’s some of the rumours we’ve heard so far.

How many adverts will there be on Netflix’s ad plan?

It’s not clear how many adverts Netflix is planning to put on its new subscription tier.

Microsoft has been chosen to manage the ad side of things for them.

However, we have heard reports that ads may not be on everything.

Apparently, you might be able to enjoy some original movies ad-free at first.

And some kids shows might be without ads as well.

Is Netflix putting ads on all subscription plans?

No, there’s been no suggestion that adverts will be going on all subscription tiers.

As far as we know, this will be a brand new tier specifically with adverts on it.

The existing three are expected to stay as they are.

When will Netflix’s ad-supported plan launch?

So far, all we know is that Netflix’s new ad-supported tier is set to be launched sometime in 2023.

How much will Netflix’s ad-supported plan cost?

Netflix hasn’t revealed the exact cost of its ad-supported plan just yet.

At the moment, the cheapest tier is Basic which costs £6.99 / $9.99, so it’ll obviously need to be a couple of pounds cheaper than that to be deemed worthwhile.

Experts previously told The Sun that they expect it’ll cost about £5.49 / $7.99 in the UK and US.

Will I lose some features on Netflix’s ad plan?

The enjoyment of watching a movie or show without interruption isn’t the only privilege you’ll lose it seems.

You may be blocked from downloading shows and movies offline, according to a developer.

The ability to watch shows offline is a huge perk which allows people to save some of their favourites directly onto mobile devices, so they can watch them when there’s no network connection.

Don’t forget, you have to have at least the Standard package to get HD content, the current Basic tier doesn’t even get this now.

So if you’re thinking of dropping down from the highest two, you’ll be losing picture quality too.
