The rivalry between Jermell Charlo and Brian Castano finally gave the first undisputed super welterweight champion. After the controversial draw in the first clash, the pair collided a second time on the Showtime PPV card main event from Carson, Calif last weekend.

The pretty hyped showdown matched the expectations of boxing fans. The action-packed slugfest went better than their last exciting anticipation bout. Though it turned out to be an unfortunate event for Castano, it bought millions of praise for the newly crowned Jermell Charlo. ‘Iron Man’ delivered a lethal combination of a left hook on the head and body to seize Castano on the ropes.

This was the highlight of the main event on the fight card. Let’s see the purses clinched by all fighters.

After the bout, the California State Athletic Commission released the guaranteed purses of all fighters on the card. The American sportswriter Dan Rafael broke it on Twitter.

According to Rafael, the champion Charlo pocketed the biggest purse of the event. He earned a hefty sum of $1 million. Whereas his opponent, an Argentinian pugilist, Castano, got $500k.

Apart from them, the co-main event fighters Jaron Ennis and Custio Clayton went for an IBF welterweight eliminator clash. Ennis demolished Clayton in two rounds. He made $400k while his opponent Clayton took $100k.

Purse of other fighters in the words of Rafael was “Kevin Gonzalez $6250, Emanuel Rivera$25k, Luciano Sanchez $2k, Adrian Silva $2k; Gurgen Hovhannisyan $6k, Jesse Bryan $6k; Geovany Bruzon $4k, Daniel Najera $5k.”
