Steph Curry is one of the most globally recognizable basketball players in the world right now. Curry changed how people play the game of basketball. He is already the greatest shooter in the sport ever. He coupled that with a great work ethic and now is a three-time NBA Champion. Steph also recently became the first NBA player to sign two $200 million-plus contracts. There are seldom things Curry can’t buy, but it looks like he did have something on his mind recently.

In a resurfaced clip, Stephen Curry is talking with rapper Nipsey Hussle. They both are talking about NFL franchise Carolina Panthers when Curry admits he is a Panthers fan. Curry says, “I’m a huge Carolina Panthers fam… Cam Newton… Ron Rivera the whole squad.”

He continues by saying, “Hear about everybody saying Jerry Richardson getting in a bit of trouble… what no that’s interesting… let’s see what happens all right, he might sell the team.” Steph further says, “So I saw a tweet I’m interested in purchasing the Carolina Panthers I chimed in with hell yeah me too… we gotta make this happen.”

Panthers – A franchise in disarray

Carolina Panthers have been struggling for continued success ever since going to the Super Bowl in 2015. The team has seen many ups and downs and last year had the sixth-worst record in the league. Quarterback Cam Newton left and came back to the team as a backup. Head Coach, as mentioned by Steph in the video above, also left the team and now coaches the Washington Commanders.
