Ty Dillon seems to be finding himself a lot on the other end of unpleasant things said by people lately. After Richard Petty’s tweet, which many believed to be against him, Dillon was grilled by the radio of Alex Bowman during the race at New Hampshire.

During lap 6, Dillon got into the door of #31, slid up into Bowman’s left front, and ended up not only wrecking himself but Bowman’s #48 as well as Josh Bilicki.

What followed was a pretty harsh message that was heard on the Hendrick driver’s radio, very directly aimed at the Petty GMS driver.

“That mother f***er gets fired and is looking for a ride and he’s driving like an idiot,” the message said.

Alex Bowman reacts to the disappointing result at New Hampshire

After the race, Alex Bowman assessed his weekend in New Hampshire by beginning straight up with the bad qualifying, which led him to start around drivers he didn’t “want to be around.”

“Unfortunately, they were just racing hard, and it looked like the No. 42 [Dillon], and No. 31 [Haley] got together. The No. 42 just over corrected and stuffed us in the fence,” he added.

“Bummer.”

In another interview earlier this season, Bowman had spoken about how they are “in an OK spot”, even though the #48 team has been more consistent than normal.

However, there was one thing that the Hendrick driver pointed out that they needed to work on more.

“I wish we had a little more raw speed than we’ve had, but just kind of keep working on it,” he added.

Let’s see if Alex Bowman and his #48 team are able to find that missing link in their toolbox in order to turn their season around in Pocono.
