Eli Manning and his former head coach Tom Coughlin had a formidable partnership in New York. The duo won two Super Bowls together and made the Giants franchise most respectable. In the history of the NFL league, they are among the most successful QB- HC duos.

The NFL fans will never forget their achievements on the gridiron. They had stopped the Patriots dynasty twice from reaching the Super Bowl. To this day, people have a fond memory of how great they were together. Recently, Eli Manning shared a picture of him and Tom Coughlin on his Twitter account, refreshing the memories of their fans.

Eli, in the caption, wrote, “It was great to be with Coach Coughlin and to watch some film with him again.”

The NFL fans were quick to react to it and showed their emotions after seeing the legendary duo together once again.

As seen in the tweet above, the Giants fan will never stop taking a dig at Tom Brady and the Patriots. Eli and Coughlin made this city believe in their team, and this picture of the two certainly refreshed many memories of the Giants’ fans.

Tom Coughlin left the New York Giants in 2016. It came as a shock to many people, as he and Eli had led the team to multiple Super Bowls. Many believed that the Giants forced him out, which resulted in him announcing his resignation.

While talking about his resignation, Coughlin said, “I met with John Mara and Steve Tisch this afternoon, and I informed them that it is in the best interest of the organization that I step down as head coach. I strongly believe the time is right for me and my family, and as I said, the Giants organization.” He further claimed he was “hurt” by how things ended.

As stated earlier, Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin won two Super Bowls together (2008 & 2012). Both times they defeated the Patriots led by Tom Brady and Bill Belichik. Defeating the Patriots team twice at the biggest stage is a huge accomplishment. NFL fans, therefore, regard Manning and Coughlin with the utmost respect.

Since Coughlin left the Giants, the franchise has gone nowhere near the Super Bowl. Although, the good old days are etched in the minds of their fans. With Daniel Jones as their quarterback now, the Giants fans will hope that things turn around quickly, as they have suffered years of disappointment now.
