Christine McGuinness has been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder just months after she revealed she was ‘high up the spectrum’ for autism.
The 34-year-old, who is married to comedian Paddy McGuinness, 48, said this weekend she found her diagnosis liberating as it has set her on the path to understanding herself better.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: ‘I’ve now been diagnosed with ADHD, autism and dyspraxia.

‘Knowledge is key. If you know the situation, you’re able to deal with it. So getting a diagnosis has really opened up my life.
‘It’s given me so much more opportunity to understand why I was the way I was.’
Christine’s three children, twins Penelope and Leo, eight, and five-year-old Felicity, have all been diagnosed with autism.

She revealed she had also been diagnosed with autism in November last year.
The media personality made the admission in her new book Christine McGuinness: A Beautiful Nightmare and told how her husband Paddy had suspected it for years.
Autism refers to a broad range of conditions characterised by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviours, speech and nonverbal communication.

She wrote in her book: ‘I have been confirmed as autistic. It’s strange, but I’ve noticed there are little hints throughout my life that I’m autistic and more like my children than I ever could have imagined.
‘My issues with food, my social struggles, how hard I find it to make friends and stay focused, and my indecisiveness. The way I float through life reminds me of how my eldest daughter Penelope is.’
Meanwhile, Christine has been suffering horrific meltdowns while training for upcoming television series The Games.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star is set to take part in a variety of athletic challenges while on live television on the show.
She told the Daily Star Sunday that being in a sports arena was ‘overwhelming’, describing it as a ‘sensory overload’ due to her autismn.
Christine says her anxiety has increased and she is ‘petrified’ of competing on live TV.
She concluded: ‘There have been a lot of tears from me, more so as the series is getting nearer.
‘I am having little meltdowns.’
