DANCING on Ice is back, and whilst fans are already placing their bets on who will make it to the final, the contestants aren’t the main talking point.
For this year’s series, the judging panel has welcomed Oti Mabuse as its latest addition, following ex-judge John Barrowman’s departure.

Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti has already had her fair share of judging experience after her stint on The Greatest Dancer.
The 31-year-old star has had an incredibly busy few years, appearing as a panellist on The Masked Dancer in 2021, and both choreographing and guest judging on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK last year.
Now, the stunning dancer has been signed up for Dancing on Ice, making her debut on the panel this weekend.
Fans and critics have been eagerly awaiting the South African star’s first appearance, and unsurprisingly, she went down a hit.
Oti wowed tonight in a bold asymmetric gown and matched her huge glittering platform heels to the bright red dress.
She coordinated her jewellery, opting for ruby and diamond earrings and a statement necklace, as well as a bold red lip to finish off the look.

She made an entrance at the start of the show after being introduced by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, showing off her toned pins as she strutted across the stage before taking a seat in the centre of the panel.
Oti went in strong with her first score, giving Brendan Cole a score of 8 for his routine to Black Betty by Ram Jam.
Her positive attitude and incredible energy was undeniable, and fans couldn’t get enough of it.
Dancing on Ice viewers took to Twitter to discuss the start’s performance as a judge, and the praise kept on coming.
“It’s been 4 minutes and Oti Mabuse has injected more personality onto this #DancingOnIce panel than it’s had in several, several years”, said one.
Another responded: “She did! The panel feels so more relaxed and not so tense! She’s the perfect person to be a judge!”
Agreeing with the comments, another fan wrote: “can we talk about how much @otimabuse is smashing it on dancing on ice already?! what a debut”
The compliments kept rolling in: “#DancingOnIce feels a lot better this series not sure why?…… maybe it’s the influence of Oti Mabuse”, “@OtiMabuse is a brilliant booking for the judging panel on #DancingOnIce“.
However, her appearance did cause concern for a few, as they asked: “So if Oti is going to dancing on ice, does that mean she’s not returning to strictly next year?”
