Katherine Ryan has spoken out after reporting her ‘neighbours’ for building a balcony overlooking her pool.
The comedian, who was in attendance at Sky’s Up Next event on Tuesday, told MailOnline that even though the in-progress house next door is currently uninhabited, she will ‘deal with it when someone lives there.’
Katherine, 38, lives with civil partner Bobby Kootstra, their eleven-month-old son Frederick, and her daughter Violet, 12, from a previous relationship.

Whilst stunning in red at the Theatre Royal, Katherine explained: ‘Oh, so that made the news like I was embroiled in this fight with my neighbours. I don’t have any neighbours, they’re building a house so that was my issue.
‘No one actually lives there but they did have an illegal erection and a balcony that wasn’t allowed. But when someone lives there, I’ll deal with it.’
She added: ‘Actually I don’t think I’ll have to deal with it, I think the planning commission will probably deal with it.’
Juggling her time: The comedian, 38, also admitted to MailOnline that her civil partner Bobby Kootstra is ‘livid’ with her work schedule (pictured December 2021)
Katherine, who studied city planning at university in Toronto, previously said: ‘Due to my background in urban planning, I was able to report them. I’m not a snitch, but their prejudicing of my property actually devalues my property.’
She added: ‘I have 12-year-old girls in the swimming pool and then a bunch of builders like leaning over that balcony smoking.
‘I rang the council. I feel bad about it, but then I convinced myself not to. They have to take it down.’

Elsewhere on Tuesday’s carpet, the mother-of-two admitted that her civil partner Bobby is ‘livid’ with her work schedule, but she explained how she always strives for balance.
When quizzed on experiencing parent guilt when working, Katherine replied: ‘It’s made me a lot less available for stuff like this. You can see how sober I am. I certainly feel really guilty going to work. I have a baby so I feel really bad, I’m very blessed to be able to do this job.
‘You have to remember that some people with a newborn baby in daycare work in a factory all day. So I just try and keep it balanced, but I don’t always strike that balance and I haven’t slept in 11 months.’
