Love Island fans were left taken aback after Davide Sanclimenti ‘lunged’ at Danica Taylor for a ‘sloppy’ kiss in Thursday night’s drama-packed episode.
Davide, 27, had a private smooch with the dancer, 21, as they enjoyed a one-on-one chat where they admitted they were interested in getting to know one another.
Danica is currently coupled up with Luca, but he told her he wasn’t interested in pursuing things because of his connection with Gemma Owen, who saved Davide in a recoupling after Luca was picked.

After Davide’s former partner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu coupled up with Jay Younger, he has been getting to know Danica since her arrival shook things up in the villa.
And things quickly heated up on Thursday’s episode as Davide kissed Danica out of the blue as they had a chat about their connection.
During their conversation, Danica asked Davide: ‘We’re still vibing and chatting. What do you want to happen Davide?’
To which he replied: ‘I do want to get to know you. Me and you are going to have a great time over the next couple of days,’ before suddenly going in for a smooch.

Danica seemed taken aback by the kiss as she didn’t appear to know what to say after the passionate moment.
And viewers were equally stunned by the steamy smooch and they took to Twitter to share their opinions on the turn of events.
Some fans admitted that they didn’t think the ‘sloppy’ kiss looked ‘too nice’ as they said it seemed that Davide had suddenly ‘lunged’ at her for the peck.
One person wrote: ‘Davide kissed Danica in such a weird way lol.’

But other viewers went as far as to suggest that Davide had kissed Danica to ‘secure his place in the villa’ as he later showed an interest in newcomer Antigoni Buxton.

Charlie received a text telling him he could choose two girls to go on a date with and he selected Ekin-Su and Tasha, who seemed quite smitten with him after they got to know each other in the hot tub.
Meanwhile, in a preview of Friday’s episode, the islanders learned that they will soon be recoupling, with Andrew looking worried about the status of his relationship with Tasha.

Speaking to the girls after their hot tub date, Tasha said: ‘It was a nice date, it went better than expected.’
‘When he’s one on one, he’s very different than when he’s around lots of people. You can see that.’
Indiyah Polack asked: ‘Would you go on another date with him?’
Tasha replied: ‘Probably yeah, there is something about Charlie that does intrigue me. He’s different to Andrew in that, he’s more mysterious I think, that’s the best way to explain it.’

Islanders then discovered there would be a recoupling on Friday with Andrew left fuming at Tasha’s burgeoning romance with Charlie.
In a clip from Friday’s episode, Andrew was seen saying: ‘One minute Tasha wanted to leave with me and now she wants to get to know him. You know what, f**k this.’
Tasha was then seen crying on the balcony as one of the girls came to comfort her.
