Ne-Yo’s wife, Crystal Renay, is ready to end her marriage this time. She recently filed divorce documents with an Atlanta court citing “irreconcilable differences” that allegedly have to do with a baby Ne-Yo fathered out of wedlock.
According to TMZ,
“Crystal Renay — who married Ne-Yo in February 2016 — filed divorce docs earlier this week in Atlanta saying the couple’s marriage is ‘irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.’ … What’s most shocking, Smith says that while she and Ne-Yo have three children together of their own — he recently fathered a child with another woman.”
Ne-Yo and Crystal welcomed their third child, Isabella Rose Smith, last June. The former couple’s daughter arrived a month early. “God said don’t make plans honey,” Crystal shared with her social media fans. “She came four weeks early but right on time for mommy,” she exclaimed. “5 lbs 7 oz of perfection. My world is finally complete.”
Crystal and Ne-Yo appeared to be on the road to recovery in the marriage department after a tumultuous time that led to him filing to divorce her nearly two years ago. The former couple attributed the lockdowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic as their saving grace as the situation forced Ne-Yo and Crystal to remain indoors during the worldwide health crisis. The Smiths renewed their wedding vows earlier this year with their kids by their side, which convinced many that they were in a good space. Crystal, however, came with a bombshell regarding their marriage last week.
“Eight years of lies and deception. Eight years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected … every last one of them,” Crystal shared with her social media fans on Sunday, July 31, 2022.
“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement,” she continued. “To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.”
Crystal did not disclose the reason for her and Ne-Yo’s separation at the time of her announcement of her plans to leave her husband. She did, however, wish him “nothing but the best” in his journey going forward.
Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo have three kids together. Ne-Yo has not confirmed his fathering of a child outside of his marriage.
