A Texas woman wanted in connection with the murder of a professional bicyclist was spotted at a New Jersey airport but has since vanished; CrimeOnline’s Nancy Grace warns that the alleged killer yoga teacher should not be underestimated.
The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force announced on Monday that 34-year-old Kaitlin Marie Armstrong had been dropped off at the Newark Liberty International Airport on May 18. Armstrong is accused of killing professional cyclist, Anna Moriah Wilson, on May 11 in Austin, before taking a flight out of state undetected.
“We are looking for a white female killer, long brown, that’s a yoga teacher,” Grace said, referring to security footage released of Armstrong at the airport. “And here comes a white female with a yoga mat on her back!”
Security cameras recorded Armstrong at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on May 14. She flew to Houston Hobby Airport and then to LaGuardia Airport in New York.
Armstrong is white, 5-foot-8 and weighs about 125 pounds. She has curly, long, light-brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen with a blue denim jacket with a black shirt underneath that had a pink design on the chest. Armstrong was also wearing white jeans and black-and-white tennis shoes. She had on a black face mask and may have had a yoga mat holder on her shoulders.
The task force is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to Armstrong’s arrest. Filla urged anyone who might have the slightest detail to report it.
“Sometimes that information that you think may be very small may be the connecting piece of our puzzle in this challenging case that you have here before us,” Filla told KXAN-TV. “Unfortunately she is not in custody at this time, but she is slowly losing her freedom because she is having to stay under the radar, she is having to look over her shoulder.”
