Recently, the former Yankees star recalled when his father saw him play for the first time from the stands.
What is more shocking is that his father saw him play for only four games of his entire career. And A-Rod’s words, those four games were the best games of his entire baseball career. “It was probably the four best games I played in my entire career…” Alex recalled the incident in a podcast with Jordan Harbinger.

Per the latest podcast with Jordan Harbinger, A-Rod went down memory lane and described his feelings when he played in front of his father for the first time. A-Rod also credited his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, who planned their reunion.
“I mean, the truth is once he left at ten, we really didn’t connect for real until my 23rd birthday. I was on a trip. Cynthia, the mother of my kids, and my ex-wife, who is a dear friend, set it up. Give her credit, because I didn’t have the courage to do that in the middle of a season,” Alex Rodriguez said.
The MLB legend detailed the brief reunion with his father. A-Rod revealed he scheduled a four-day trip to Minnesota. And his father watched him play in the only four games from the stands.
“We scheduled a four-day trip, in which he saw me play for four days… Here we are, I mean I almost played 25 years professionally,” A-Rod continued. “And the only four games in my entire career he watched me play were in Minnesota…”
Was A-Rod happy to play in front of his father?
It must have been difficult for A-Rod to play in front of his father. At once, A-Rod was happy to play in front of his father, but he also wanted to prove a point. “I was really excited that he was there. And the other part of me was a little sad and angry that he was there. I wanted to show him, alright, here is what you missed,” A-Rod concluded.
