Since the first event of the Saudi-backed golf league took place in the UK, things have started to take an ugly turn for the PGA Tour. The rebel golf league has not only been able to capture the PGA Tour veterans like Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, and other big names, including Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, and Brooks Koepka, but the young lot too which includes Matthew Wolf, Scott Vincent, and Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra. This proves the new Tour plans to expand and reach the new generations of professionals trying to play golf at the highest level.
Moreover, the bold moves by the Tour to involve legality in golf have only been detrimental to golf. The latest anti-trust lawsuits filed by LIV players like DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson against the PGA Tour have caused nothing but more problems for the PGA Tour. For the fans, it seems like the Saudi-backed golf league is not only here to kick out the PGA Tour but wants to capture the market once and forever.
However, the more concerning fact for the Tour is that even after issuing several suspensions against Tour players because they shifted to the rival golf league, it has not panned out as they wanted. Despite the same, professionals are still turning from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf Invitational Series, which probably implies that the new tour is here not only to compete with the PGA Tour but also to take over its throne.

The latest Saudi golf league event winner
The Iceman, Henrkin Stenson, won the latest LIV Golf event at Trump Bedminister last week. Not to forget, Stenson lost his Ryder Cup captaincy of Team Europe after he announced his shift to the rival tour. Moreover, he ended the event with an overall score of 11-under-par. As a result, he won with a comfortable two-shot lead. Henrik carded a final round of two-under-par, 69 to finish on the top of the leaderboard.
