OZZY Osbourne has confessed that his drug addiction was so out of control he’d hit himself over the head with wooden planks to get prescriptions.
Wild rocker Oz, now 73, bashed his skull so that he could fill up on painkillers.

And the Black Sabbath star found his tolerance to substances was so high that an anaesthesiologist needed at least twice the amount of sedative to make him sleep.
Ozzy also spoke about how he still battles with addiction issues, recently buying over £600 worth of marijuana for no reason.
Ozzy said: “I used to get a piece of wood and whack myself over the head, so they would give me a bottle of pain pills.”
Ozzy made out that was “normal” practice in his addiction-filled days and when asked by the interviewer: “Normal people don’t bash themselves on the head with wood?’

Ozzy, famous for biting the head off a bat, replied: “Normal people aren’t Ozzy.
“We are f***ing clowns.” He admits that drugs aided his sleep.
“You do not have to think about going to sleep. You close your eyes and you’re done. “The f***ing lies I used to tell (to get drugs).
“Someone once said to me that to be a good liar you have to have a good memory and mine is f***ing horrible.”

Ozzy also recalled how his tolerance to substances was so high that an anaesthesiologist could not put him to sleep with one full dose.
“I once went for a procedure a long long time ago when I f***ing used to be doing all this s***. The guy putting the stuff in goes: ‘How long have you been doing this music?’
“And I said so and so many years…and kept talking. And he goes: ‘And why aren’t you asleep yet?’
“He gave me two syringe fulls.”
Recovering Ozzy says he fights to stay sober. He was recommended marijuana, which is legal in LA, to aid with pain and sleep issues.

Ozzy feels confident he is on top of his cravings and addiction[/caption]
He admitted: “I had a little experiment recently with marijuana.
“I got it and I thought what the f* have I bought that for? Four ounces? “I don’t know. I can’t smoke. I just had COVID so I can’t smoke anyway.
“I just had one of those thoughts ‘That would be good’. I bought into it. He just said ‘thank you’…800 bucks later! “I never smoked one.’
Ozzy feels confident he is on top of his cravings and addiction.
“The thing that keeps me away from it now is that I know me and I got real with me.
“One of the main reasons I have embraced my family is because I am not out of my f***ing face anymore.”
Speaking on US digital radio Sirius XM, Ozzy says that a recent third surgery to aid his back, neck and leg issues will get him back on stage.
“I am hoping and praying I’ll feel better. Not 100%. Just enough so that I can get around better. I hope the world likes the album.
